Welcome to the Health Care Leadership and Management Program. As Director, I am pleased to introduce you to a rewarding educational experience.

Health care is facing complex challenges and exciting opportunities. Proactive and effective leaders are essential to the successful transformation of the system. The Health Care Leadership and Management Program (Program) provides innovative education to formal and informal leaders in health care organizations.

The Program, which offers six university credit courses, is a specialty program in the School of Nursing, McMaster University. The curriculum is based on the foundations of a problem-based, self-directed learning philosophy that supports life-long learning.

Our faculty brings academic preparation in the areas of leadership and management complemented by extensive experience in clinical and administrative leadership roles in all sectors of health care. With over 10 years experience offering leadership education locally, nationally, and internationally, the Program has a reputation for responsive education that assists current and aspiring clinical and administrative leaders to create and sustain leadership capacity.
