Recognition awards have replaced the traditional book awards and are used to recognize students in any level for outstanding contributions within the BScN program that may not fit into the established nursing awards.

Awarded to a second year student who demonstrates caring and compassion to patients and peers, communicates effectively and demonstrates an enthusiasm for the profession of nursing.

Awarded to a  student after the 2nd or 3rd year who exhibits an interest in psychiatric nursing and is or will be completing a mental health placement. First preference is given to the son or daughter of an employee within the Homewood Corporation.
